Last Monday we visited Beresford Wines Tasting Pavilion. Located on Belwitt Springs Road in McLaren Flat it is a blend of modern design features and very personal service.
Visually the building is stunning, made from oak, poured concrete and copper cladding truly contemporary cellar-door experiences. I suppose you could call it a minimalist look. There is a main rectangular tasting bench, indoor and outdoor tasting areas that overlook the estate.
The tasting experience, starting at $15 per person, through to $25 per person gives you the option of enjoying the Estate, Classic and Bell Tower ranges. Each wine is matched with local, seasonal produce.
The day we visited was very hot and it was great to have and outdoor area to taste the wines.

We indulged in a beautiful luncheon of duck, bread and salad as Ashka presented us with their wines. The explanations of each wine linked with the weather patterns, soil types and vines was very interesting and informative. Ashka was very friendly, engaging and exceptionally professional.
The Tasting Pavilion is one of only a few places where Beresford’s Estate wines are available for purchase. Located on Belwitt Springs Road at McLaren Flat, it is open for casual visits Seven Days, 10am – 5pm.
